WarnMe to Use Mobile Phones From Student Records

To more effectively reach students with emergency information, the campus is adding the mobile phone numbers of students to its WarnMe notification system to support text messaging.

Updated Sept. 17: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that it is postponing the national tests of two alerting systems that had been scheduled for Sept. 20 鈥� the same morning as the UC Davis exercise. Due to severe weather on the East Coast and ongoing response efforts, FEMA rescheduled its tests for Oct. 3.

WarnMe Test at 11:50 A.M. Monday

UC Davis will test its WarnMe emergency notification system on Monday (March 12). The test will go out about 11:50 a.m. by text and email to UC Davis students and employees and by text only to those who have subscribed to UCDALERTS.

Make sure your contact information is up to date for the test of WarnMe and Aggie Alert that is scheduled for Wednesday (Feb. 8). The test will go out about 11:50 a.m. on all devices registered with the emergency notification system 鈥� including work and personal emails and phones.
